I have noticed that the fender heavies seem a bit thinner than, say, martin's, but I like the thinner heavies, so I like fender heavies. Ninety or so is perfect for me.

I've always wondered (and tried to use my best guess by comparing them to other picks), but now I know. Many thanks!

newer ones seem to have printed on the thickness. I ordered medium picks and got Fender picks whichs have printed on the thickness of 0.71mm

Cool, so I'm not totally crazy for noticing one fender medium feels different to another.

These are also some of, if not *the,* cheapest picks widely available. Minor inconsistencies should be expected. I bought a pack of 144 of them, simply so I have throw away picks for when friends come over and they always seem to forget to bring their own picks.

StoneCole different batches of celluloid, are like anything else, no two are the same. I've had picks come out the same pack, same gauge and they feel totally different. also, if they're old, the material can shrink.

Thank you! I play bass and was looking at something other than the Dunlop Gators that I already have. One version is .96mm and the other is 1.14mm. So, since I'm trying to get something in between, the Fender Heavy's won't work for me. But, Dunlop does make a 1.0mm in their Tortex line. From the Sweetwater website, "Dunlop 418P1.0 Tortex Standard 1.0mm Blue Guitar Picks 12-Pack" - only $3.89.

Thanks. Was looking all over for that. Still leaves the question why doesn't Fender just put that info on the pick the way most others do?
UBER UNBOXING (2 years ago)
+James McCormick Its not a secret any more so they probably will - until then my video will be a winner

no extra heavy? it sucks, my favorite pick i had was a vintage fender pick. it says 1.2 on it. I have extra heavy to see if it's the same but it's not
UBER UNBOXING (2 years ago)
+Any Rebel that sucks
